A payment expert who has been in the field so long it surprises him (more than 30 years), David started his career at American Express and later worked at Mastercard and Bank of America Merchant Services, giving him insight into all parts of the payments ecosystem. His fascination with payments led him to NYPAY, which he has led since 2010, and PayGility Advisors, which he co-founded in 2016. In addition to helping firms bring products to market and advising them on strategy, David advises multiple startups, writes widely on payments and fintech, and is actively involved in the US Payments Forum and the Faster Payments Council.

He is currently a managing director at PayGility Advisors, a financial services industry consultancy. Ron’s work experience extends from financial technology (Jack Henry & Associates) to banking/ payments (JPMorgan Chase, Mastercard), to industry analysis/consulting (Mercator Advisory Group, Edgar, Dunn & Company, Novantas).

Ron has been a speaker at a variety of in-person conferences and virtual panels. He has authored multiple articles and published/produced syndicated market research studies on preferred payments. Ron is the Founder, Board Member and Officer of NYPAY and Ron served as an Advisory Board Member for CrossTech and ChannelNet.

Brion Bonkowski

Brion was the founder of ROIPayments, an enterprise payments consultancy and GrantVantage, a grant management SaaS platform. After simultaneously growing both companies’ revenue streams to be self-sustaining, Brion turned his attention to fintech infrastructure. He launched Tern in 2015 and transitioned to full time as CEO in 2020 to drive product, strategy, and growth. Tern provides fintech infrastructure, primarily around global card issuance and cross-border money movement.

Brion also serves as Chairman of the Kilimanjaro Initiative, which brings together inner-city youth leaders from New York City and Africa to hike the highest mountain in Africa. Brion has successfully summited Kilimanjaro five times with this nonprofit.
