Daniel Wheeler is a founder of Financial Technology Bank (in organization), a past trust company CEO and founder, and serves as a director of financial technology startups.  He has served as the general counsel of a cryptocurrency lender and advises on blockchain projects.  Dan received his law degree from New York University School of Law and advises select clients on a range of creative regulatory initiatives.

Austin is the managing partner and founder of Zero Knowledge Consulting and an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School. Previously, he has run the stablecoin platform and portfolio management at Paxos as well as being the chief risk officer of Paxos National Trust, has managed fixed income trading desks at JP Morgan and Citi covering $100B of cash derivatives, and has been a portfolio manager and structurer at Stone Ridge, the parent of NYDIG.

As the Global Head of Visa Direct, Ruben Salazar Genovez oversees Visa’s real-time push payment platform that enables fast, simple, and secure digital payments worldwide. He is also responsible for leading Yellowpepper and Visa Payments Limited, two acquired companies that are part of Visa’s portfolio of solutions to facilitate money movement around the world.

Ruben has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on product design, development, and innovation. He holds an M.B.A. from Florida International University and speaks Spanish and English. He has contributed to the transformation of the way Visa designed and deployed payments innovation in the Latin America and the Caribbean region, where he was the Senior Vice President of Products, Processing & Innovation. He has also managed the integration of new digital capabilities with core payments platforms at Visa Asia Pacific, where he was the Head of Product Design & Development. He has multiple patents and a passion for creating impactful and user-centric solutions.

Steve Wasserman

Technology Architect, Photon Commerce

Steve is an entrepreneur through 2 successful startups and acquisition exits. His first startup was Bizware, a consulting firm in the ERP industry. The second was a Fintech company, IPP, which enabled financially inclusive walk-in bill payment plus prepaid & debit card solutions. Through a series of acquisitions, IPP ended up being a major part of a PayPal acquisition for over $300m. Steve then founded Vments, based on his patented tokenized deposits and Enterprise Digital Banking (EDB) Platform IP. Currently, he is consulting for Photon Commerce, Steve helps clients and partners leverage AI software to extract and automate the data from financial transaction documents. Steve also provides leadership in collaborative work groups at the US Faster Payments Council (FPC), the Fed Improvements facilitated Business Payments Coalition, X9 ISO 20022 Market Practices Forum, the FedNow Community, and the FPC Board Advisory Group.
